“Infantry Marines are trained to locate, close with, and destroy the enemy by fire and maneuver. That enemy should never be Americans – let alone Americans engaged in peaceful protest. I have no doubt these Marines will conduct themselves with the utmost discipline and professionalism.

“But the Trump administration’s deployment of the National Guard and Marines to LA is a dangerous spectacle and attempt to distraction from their failures. We must stand up against this provocation and attempt to undermine our rights and the rule of law.”
