Vote “YES” on the town budget to maintain the strength of our community.
Vote “YES” for the municipal budget, the education budget and for the capital improvement projects, for the future of our town and our kids.

Money matters. And, being fiscally responsible is important. However, there seems to be a general trend from the Republicans to cut just for the sake of cutting, regardless of the impact to our community.
However, we’re a strong community. Together, we invest in our local government infrastructure to, not only maintain our standard of living, but also keep our community vibrant and strong. As a Newtown resident, your voice matters. It’s more important than ever to show support for Newtown’s future leaders, scholars, artists and athletes.
Voting is a way to support what we believe in—our schools, our town, our programs—those things we cherish in our community.
After nearly a decade of mostly flat revenues, two years of which there was no tax increase, we’re at a point where rising utilities, rising health insurance, mandatory state union increases, and inflation, are making it difficult to preserve what we value.
This is not a partisan moment. It is a moment for unity. We all value our community, our kid’s education, our streets, and our programs. In times of adversity, a community comes together to support one another. That time is now!
By the way, the average household tax increase, if we approve the town budget, will actually be less than a cup of coffee a day!
So, are you ready to vote in favor of common sense education and family values? Please encourage your friends and neighbors to vote YES on April 22. If you are away, grab an absentee ballot at the registrar’s office and make your vote count.
