A letter to any and all of us, from U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy, D-CT:
Over the past six weeks, the Trump Administration and Elon Musk’s DOGE have sowed chaos and confusion across the federal workforce, engaging in mass layoffs of workers, terminating federal contracts, and freezing congressionally appropriated funds for state and local programs.
President Trump and Elon Musk spend each day finding new ways to make their corporate and billionaire friends even richer while screwing over families, veterans, small businesses and nonprofits in Connecticut. Musk and his DOGE minions pretend to care about transparency, but they’re trying to hide how they have hurt working people.
We have to raise the alarm on what’s happening. I believe it’s critical to shine a spotlight on the harm they are causing. So I’m launching an effort to gather stories from people across Connecticut who have been directly and negatively impacted by Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s illegal agenda.
If you know anyone who has been impacted, please feel free to forward this email or share the link with them directly and encourage them to share their story. The only way we can mount a real opposition and stop this crisis is if we all speak up against what’s happening.
