  • University of Pennsylvania – Bachelor of Arts, major in Political Science, minor in Sociology

Lived in Newtown 13 years (grew up in Brookfield). Husband Justin is a small business owner in town, 3 children (older 2 attend Middle Gate, youngest in preschool). Motivated to continue serving because I strongly believe that high-quality schools are the foundation of a community.

  • To ensure our schools prepare our children for life beyond graduation, including both college and career pathways

Experience

  • 15 year career in Finance, specializing in strategy, transformation, and change management
  • Current Board of Education member (2022-present). Chair of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. Chair of the CIP / Facilities / Finance Committee. Lead BOE negotiator on Administrators contract (union negotiations).
  • EdAdvance (Regional Educational Service Center for Western CT) – member of the Board of Directors
  • Legislative Council member (2019-2021)
  • Girl Scout leader (2021-present)
