Address: 66 Currituck Rd., Newtown
I would like to continue my public service by joining the ZBA to represent the people of Newtown.
Since moving to Newtown, I have served on many of the Town’s commissions. I presently serve as an elected official on The Zoning Board of Appeals. In addition, I serve on the Lake Lillinonah Authority, and the Fairfield Hills Authority. My responsibilities on The Fairfield Hills Authority have included securing the complete documentation of the facility from the State of CT. Currently, I am working to review the applications for a proposed new restaurant and hydroponic garden, and a children’s museum at the site.
For several years, I was co-chair of the Commission On Aging. While serving as co-chair, I worked with the First Selectman and The Community Development Team to acquire a $200,000 Small Town Grant to build the present addition to the existing Senior Citizens’ Center. While serving on the Lake Lillinonah Authority, I was involved with the closing of the railroad trash substation in Hawleyville.
In 1987, I moved to Newtown with my wife and two children after being born and raised in Bridgeport. My wife is a teacher/librarian in public school. My son teaches chemistry at Newtown High School. Our daughter works at St. Vincent’s Hospital.
