Interest in Public Office and the Board of Finance
I have lived in Newtown for 15 years, and during that time our community has faced many challenges. I believe that education is an important priority, and that the governance of our town should balance priorities with the objective of serving the long-term best interests all of our residents. I would focus on:
- Building on our strengths to reinforce a Newtown as a top choice community for prospective and current residents, and
- Making fiscal responsibility – balancing affordability and value – a top objective.
For 2 years, I have applied my experience and background in business and law over three decades to support the mission of the Board of Finance and help drive the right decisions for our future. I would like to continue to serve my friends and neighbors in that role.
I am a consultant in the executive compensation practice at Willis Towers Watson, in its New York City office, where I lead the firm’s insurance industry practice for North America. I have worked with companies in many other industries, including technology, financial services, media, hospitality, manufacturing and energy.
Prior to joining Willis Towers Watson, I was the Vice President, Executive Compensation for the American Express Corporation, and I held a similar role for over 9 years at IBM. I previously worked at two New York-based law firms, Skadden Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, and Paul Weiss, Rifkind Wharton and Garrison.
Law degree from Fordham University School of Law and a B.S. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.
