  • US Senate Convention is underway!

    The Newtown DTC delegation has 13 delegates today to nominate the Democratic candidate for the fall election.  The Kaiser Hall at CCSU in New Britain is packed with delegates and elected officials. Chris Murphy won easily with 76% of the delegates, but Bysiewicz will be forcing a primary which will be on August 14th.

    3029 people have voted as of 5:04pm.  That was when I voted!  Polls are open until 8pm at the Middle School.  Get there or you can’t complain about the results!

  • Nancy Wyman coming to Newtown

    Our Lt. Governor will be the main guest speaker at our JJB dinner on June 5th.  The evening will be honoring Herb Rosenthal, tickets are $60 per person. The event will be in the Alexandria Room at Edmond Town Hall.

  • Congressman Chris Murphy visits Newtown

    Congressman Murphy came to Maplewood to discuss current issues facing Connecticut.  The focus was on Medicare and other senior issues and some solutions to the radical plans presented in the proposed House budget.
