I have been a resident of Newtown for almost forty years. It is with great honor that I have taken this opportunity to serve the community that is an integral part of who I am. There is no bigger responsibility than working as a public servant and maintaining the integrity of this town. I look forward to providing a fresh perspective to this position, and the opportunity to listen and work with residents to provide the best possible service.
Professional and Academic Experience
Masters of Science, Elementary Education, University of Bridgeport August 1995
Bachelor of Arts, Psychology, Western Connecticut State University August 1992
My past professional experience as a classroom teacher and Reading/Writing Specialist in New Canaan Public Schools, and my current position as a Patient Coordinator and Medical Assistant at Newtown MediSpa, has prepared me for this next step in my professional career. I have continually pursued my education, and I pride myself on my organizational, interpersonal, and detail-oriented skills. I have extensive experience with public relations, maintaining records, and working collaboratively. I look forward to implementing my knowledge and experience and applying it to a new setting to make any visit to the Town Clerk’s office a smooth, synergetic one.
Besides being room parent and volunteering at school events, I spend my time with my two amazing children, Maclane age 11, and Presley age 14. We are usually out and about supporting different organizations and events on the weekend. We also foster dogs for TLC Sweet Souls Rescue in Newtown.
