Board of Finance
I have lived in Newtown for 13 years, and during that time our community has faced many challenges. I believe that education is an important priority, and that the governance of our town should balance priorities with the objective of serving the long-term best interests all of our residents. If elected, I would focus on:
- Building on our strengths to reinforce a Newtown as a top choice community for prospective and current residents, and
- Making fiscal responsibility – balancing affordability and value – a top objective.
I would apply my experience and background in business and law over three decades to support the mission of the Board of Finance and help drive the right decisions for our future.
I would like to do all I can to make Newtown a great place to live, work and learn. I would like to see the community achieve the right balance for all aspects of local government, including taxes, education and development. We have a diverse constituency – and it’s important that all voices are heard and represented.
