Board of Finance
As a relative newcomer to the political scene, I am honored to join forces with the caliber of people on the Democratic slate for this November. I want to join the Board of Finance at this time because I am confident I can use my extensive professional finance and accounting experience to contribute to sound decisions about Newtown’s economic future. I currently teach courses in economics and in quality standards at Post University. In that position, I come across many facts about the difficulties that cities and towns in Connecticut and across our Country face. Connecticut currently struggles with a budget crisis that may impact our Town. I want to help.
In my many years working in the corporate world, I have always placed integrity and honesty foremost. You can have the education and the experience but if you don’t make sound decisions based on principles you serve only yourself, something that I stress to my students and to my grandchildren. I am excited to have the opportunity to give back to the community we have called home since 1985.
